Our Weight Loss Through Nutrition program is designed to help your dog lose weight by understanding their unique nutritional needs and establishing healthy routines. Factors such as age, breed, activity level, and neuter status play a crucial role in determining your dog’s daily energy requirements. Getting this balance right can prevent common health issues like heart disease, diabetes, and joint problems, while also increasing their lifespan.

Rehab is not a one size fits all!
We also design personalized rehabilitation and conditioning programs that are aligned with veterinary feedback and protocols to help clients achieve their goals and ensure success.
Ask about it during your initial assessment.
Prevention & Wellness

The stance analyzer is located in the small treatment room. We use stance analysis as a diagnostic procedure that shows how an animal's weight is distributed across each limb.
The Companion Stance Analyzer takes lameness evaluations to the next level. By providing objective measurements we can see how a client is shifting their weight. This data outlines which limb is affected and to what degree it is affected. We use it in pre and post- treatment.

Recreational Swims
-
You must select this session if it’s your first time coming to see us. You will be asked to fill out a waiver when booking.
Although we allow 2 dogs at a time, we recommend introducing the dogs individually. Even great swimmers can be intimidated by the new environment and space. First time swims bookings are $35 (incl HST) for a 20 min swims.
Not all dogs are great swimmers. If your dog has never swam, we recommend using a swim vest. Our goal is to show your dog that their life is not in danger. Picking them up and assisting them to swim back towards you or their favorite toys is an effective way to slowly show the dog that swimming can be fun!
As the session goes on, we make sure we give as much positive reinforcement to your dog and continuously assess for signs of anxiety or distress.
What to expect? The session may be cut a little short if your dog has had enough. It’s a lot of new things in a short period of time. Your dog may need more than one session to be comfortable in the water and swimming on their own. That’s normal and good progress for new swimmers.

These sessions are for dogs who want to play, have fun or learn to swim.
NOTE: Dogs with medical history should seek a referral and book a hydrotherapy session (see below for more details). Before booking a Recreational Swim session, all dogs must first book an Orientation swim and fill out the consent form.
What should book, 20 or 30 min sessions? Remember that 1 minute of swimming equals 4 minutes of running. For our new swimmers, older dogs or dogs recovering from injuries, 20 minutes is plenty. For agile swimmers, owners may want a longer session.
When bringing 2 dogs, you may want longer sessions . We offer 30 min session. Talk to our staff to see if 30 min sessions are a good fit for you.
20 min session - $30 (HST incl)
30 min session- $46 (HST incl)Buy 6 Get 1 Free Packages are also available.

Learning to swim takes time as we take a gradual approach. Save $10 when you book a 4-session learn to swim package!
This is an average progression for new swimmers. Some dogs may progress at a faster or slower rate.
1st Session (Orientation Swim)- The goal is to ensure the dog is comfortable in the environment and the ramp into the water. If the dog makes in next high or reaches the end of the ramp, it is a very successful 1st session. We provide the swim vest.
2nd Session - We’ll take your dog in the water and show them how to get out. We’ll gradually go further from the ramp.
3rd Session- We will work on showing your dog how to jump off the ramp. When they are comfortable jumping and swimming on their own, we will discuss removing the vest.
4th Session - Putting it all together! Your dog has experienced swimming, jumping into the water on their own, and having success retrieving toys from the water. Now it’s time to play!
