Enjoy our heated indoor dog pool!

Recreational swims

Swimming provides a low-impact form of exercise, ideal for dogs with joint issues or arthritis, as the water supports their weight and reduces stress on their bodies. Swimming also helps build muscle strength, improve cardiovascular health, and enhance overall fitness. Our heated indoor pool is perfect for year-round fun, ensuring your dog stays active and healthy even in colder months.

Orientation

Our Orientation session is required for all new dogs visiting the pool for the first time.

While we allow two dogs at a time, we recommend introducing them individually, as even experienced swimmers may feel intimidated by the new environment. Not all dogs are natural swimmers, so we use positive reinforcement and gentle support to help them build confidence and associate swimming with fun and safety.

Orientation - $35 (incl HST)

Learn to Swim Program

Our Learn to Swim Program includes 4 sessions, during which most dogs make remarkable progress in building confidence and mastering swimming skills.

We highly recommend booking all 4 sessions on a weekly basis as it increases success. By the end of the fourth visit, most dogs have learned the joy of swimming but also have a strong foundation for water safety.

Learn to Swim - $115 (incl HST) (save $10!)

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is a form of physical therapy that uses water to help dogs recover from injuries, manage conditions, or improve mobility. It offers a low-impact, supportive environment that reduces strain on joints and muscles while promoting healing. A vet referral is required, and many pet insurance plans cover hydrotherapy, making it an effective and accessible option for dogs in need of therapeutic care. These sessions will be recommended by Cynthia Babineau (BSc. Kin, BSc. Physio, Dipl. Can Rehab)

Hydrotherapy - Conditioning

These sessions are suitable for dogs who need to gain strength, flexibility and/or are on a weight loss program that require monitoring. Objectives and progress are shared among the rehab team to ensure accurate progress determination.

20 min session - $46 (HST incl)
30 min session - $55 (HST incl)

Hydrotherapy - Treatment

This is therapy is conducted in the water. These sessions are for dogs who require closer attention and detailed monitoring. The rehab team will be in close communication and detailed reports will be shared.

20 min session - $57.50 (HST incl)

What you need to know

The Pool

Our 8’x20’ heated pool is set at a comfortable 25°C and features a custom ramp, allowing dogs to easily walk in, walk out, or jump in. Pool maintenance is conducted in line with the guidance of Dr. Scott Weese, DVM DVSc DipACVIM, a veterinary internist and microbiologist. While the risk of hydrotherapy-associated infection is minimal, we regularly check water chemistry to maintain safe and balanced levels (2-5 parts per million free chlorine, pH: 7.2-7.8, alkalinity: 80-120 ppm). We partner with FunTime Pool to ensure the highest water quality.

Potty Area

We recommend feeding your dog several hours before or after swimming and ensuring they are walked and taken out for a potty break before entering the pool. Poop bags and garbage are available outside the pool area, and any accidents may result in pool closure. Fecal contamination can lead to pool closures ranging from 25 minutes to 13 hours, depending on severity, and specific protocols are in place to maintain dog health. In cases of contamination, a minimum $50 cleanup fee will be charged, which may increase if multiple sessions are canceled or the pool remains closed for extended periods. We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.

Vet Referral

If a pet owner is seeking access to the pool for exercise, a referral is not necessary. However, for pets with serious pre-existing health conditions such as heart disease, respiratory issues, epilepsy, neurological disorders, or brachycephalic breeds (short-faced dogs), a veterinarian referral is recommended due to the increased risk involved. A referral is required for hydrotherapy sessions. Most veterinary clinics in the Greater Moncton area are familiar with our referral process.

Safety

As of January 2024, all of our staff are Dog Safe certified in canine first aid. This ensures that your dog is in the safest hands throughout their time at the pool. For insurance purposes, only our trained staff are permitted to enter the pool to supervise and provide assistance if needed. While our staff are in the water, you are welcome to encourage your dog from the poolside, offering treats and positive reinforcement to make their swim a fun and rewarding experience.
